Deloris Tighe

Deloris A. Myers-Tighe, 81, of Parsons, passed away at 3:45 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2018 at her home.

She was born on November 15, 1936 at Hulbert, Oklahoma to Thomas Woodrow and Edna Mae (Howell) Boston. She attended schools at Hulbert and Parsons.

She worked at the Labette County Medical Center as a nurses aide 1968 to 1973. She then moved to Martinez, California where she worked as a substitute teacher. She moved back to Parsons in 1982 where she worked at Wal-Mart.

She attended the First Assembly of God Church and enjoyed arts and crafts.

She and Billie Jo Myers, Sr. were married on January 18, 1953 at Parsons. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2006. She and Jack Tighe were married on December 15, 2007 at Adair, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2012.

Deloris is survived by two sons, Ricky Myers, Sr. of Parsons and Steve Myers, Sr. of Labette City; one daughter, Patricia Baker of Adair, Oklahoma; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother Arlie Boston of Tulsa, OK.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Kenworthy; a son Billie Joe Myers, Jr.; a granddaughter, Rebecca Renee Myers; her parents; and two brothers, Charlie and Jerry Boston.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Crawford officiating. Burial will be held in the East Bethany cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
