Naomi Forney

Naomi Lucille Forney, age 77 of Galena, passed away at her home at 6:26 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Naomi was born in Galena on September 25, 1940 to the union of Willard Merle McNamara and Twyla Lucille (Lamb) McNamara. She graduated from high school in Compton, CA with the class of 1958.

She had lived in Woodland, CA for a number of years, and was an apartment manager with Project Management Inc. before retiring in the early 1990’s. After retiring, she moved back to Galena in December of 1995. While in Galena, she was active in the Galena Genealogical Society, and also spent her time crocheting and enjoying family.

Naomi was united in marriage with Richard Junior Forney in Torrance, CA on March 27, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2015.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Twyla; one brother, Rick McNamara; his wife, Shirley McNamara; and one sister, Glenda Mae McNamara.

Survivors include two sons, James Richard Forney (wife, Ruth) of Woodland, CA, and Larry Glenn Forney (wife, Amy) of Galena; one daughter, Glenda Mae Clarke (husband, Bill) of Galena; one brother, Larry McNamara (wife, Sue) of Galena; one sister, Laura Jean Cox (husband, Jim) of Quartz Hill, CA; nine grandchildren; Benjamin Forney(wife, Lisa), Andrew Forney (wife, Kandis), Daniel Forney, Jeremy Forney, Ashley Hopkins (husband, Michael Shawn), Katie Holstrom, Butch Fund (wife, Harue), Misty Clarke, and Michelle Clarke; and 4 great-grandchildren, KC Hopkins, Kaycee Rowland, Karsyn Rowland, and Jason Forney.
