Fred Andrew

Frederick Norman Andrew, 63, of Pittsburg, passed away at 5:38 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Via Christi Hospital.

He was born December 7, 1954 at Pittsburg, the son of Joseph and Norma (Shanholtzer) Andrew. He attended local schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1972.

On July 16, 1977, he was united in marriage to Donna J. Fish at the First Christian Church in Pittsburg. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2009.

Fred worked for USD #250 for thirty-three years, and retired as the Director of Transportation.

He was a former member of the All Saints Anglican Church in Chicopee. A member of the Masonic Lodge and the Mirza Shrine. He was also a board member on the Baker Fire Department.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Andrew and his wife, Chelsea of Pittsburg; a daughter, Michelle Crawford and her husband, Kevin of Pittsburg; four grandchildren, Noah, Lauren, Laney, and London. He is also survived by two sisters, Jonita McCarley of Pittsburg and Debbie Hall of Altamont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Doug Andrew.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (March 8) at the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. The family suggests memorials be given to the Children’s Educational Fund for his grandchildren, Noah, Lauren, Laney and London.
