Linda Day

Linda A. Day, 70 of Pittsburg, KS died at 7:20 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg following a long illness.

She was born January 24, 1947 in Joplin, MO the daughter of Fred Harlen and Mary Alyce (Martin) Day.

Linda received a Licenced Practical Nursing degree at Crowder College in Neosho, MO immediately following high school graduation and worked at Gravette Hospital for several years.

Linda was an outgoing, happy person who made friends easily. She had many friends who loved her very much. She had a love for cats and had several that were special to her. She also enjoyed growing flowers and plants. She had quite a green thumb. But the joy of her life were her grandchildren and spending time with them.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pittsburg.

Survivors include a daughter Allyson (German) Abarca of Pittsburg; a son Noah Day of Erie, PA; four grandchildren: Gabriel, Hannah & Katelyn Abarca and Aiden Day.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Max Day.

Graveside services will be on December 3, 2017 at 3:30 pm in the Pineville City Cemetery, Pineville, MO. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Cremation arrangements by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
