Linda G. Gultz, 69, of Parsons, passed away at 8:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Woodridge Estates in Parsons.
She was born on December 15, 1948 at Parsons to Richard Earl and Maxine (Peak) Rude. She grew up at various places including Parsons and Cheyenne, Wyoming. She graduated from East High School at Cheyenne in 1966.
She moved to West Point, New York where she met her husband. She and Larry Gultz were married on August 3, 1969 at West Point. They later divorced and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Linda lived in Oswego, Pittsburg, and Marion, Kansas before moving to Parsons in 2000. She was a homemaker when her son was a child and later worked for the Marion County Health Department and then as a Paraprofessional for the USD 503 school district in Parsons. She retired in 2015.
She loved spending time with family and friends, going shopping with friends, and arts and crafts. Linda was always willing to try new things. She participated in several bowling leagues over the years. She was a member of the Foursquare Church in Parsons.
Linda is survived by her son, Matthew Gultz of Parsons; her brother, Randy Rude, and his wife, Betty of Leroy; two sisters, Brenda Lewis, and her husband, Jerry of Altamont and Beth McEwen, and her husband, Dale of Winlock, WA; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held at 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons.
