Joyce Ann Holland, 75, of Pittsburg, KS passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Joyce was born April 23, 1943 in Cherokee, KS the daughter of Harry and Irene (Yaeger) Davis. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Frontenac High School in 1960.
In 1983 she graduated from Fort Scott Community College with a degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Via Christi Hospital for 30 years in the emergency room.
Joyce was married to John R. Holland, he preceded her in death.
She enjoyed staying at home and visiting with her family at her kitchen table.
Survivors include, son; Robert E. Holland (Vicki) of Pittsburg, KS daughter; Marilyn S. Holland (Adam Endicott) of Pittsburg, KS; 2 step-sons, John J. Holland of Pittsburg, KS, James A. Holland of Topeka, KS. 2 brothers; Dean Davis of Crown Point, IN, John Davis Ocala, FL, sister; Linda S. Terdin of Frontenac, KS, 7 grandchildren; Shelly Gross, Whitnie Anderson, Makayla Iori, Tara Holland, Matthew Wood, Justin Hawn, Will Holland, 2 great-grandchildren; Hadley and Layne Gross and a very special niece who helped care for her and visit her every evening, Tammy Shepherd.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac, KS with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; friends may call after 10 am Friday. Condolences may be left atwww.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
