Dennis Arthur Hartshorn, 59, of Pittsburg, passed away at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Alliance Health Midwest Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
He was born July 25, 1959, the son of Arthur A. and Marian L. (Dugger) Hartshorn. He attended Pittsburg elementary schools and high school.
Dennis worked at Sonic, and later in the machine shop at McNally Manufacturing and Payne’s Incorporated.
He was married to Sharon Reece in Oklahoma. They later divorced.
He was of the Baptist faith. Dennis also enjoyed motorcycles and music.
Survivors include his parents, Art and Marian Hartshorn of Pittsburg; a brother, Don Hartshorn and his wife, Jana of Pittsburg; a son, Brandon Hartshorn; a daughter, Amber Hartshorn; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and ex-wife.
A Graveside Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday (Jan. 12), at the Park Cemetery, Columbus, Kansas. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to sign the register. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the donor’s choice.
