Michael R. “Mike” Beebe, 58, of Pittsburg, died at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his home.
He was born August 15, 1959 at Springfield, Missouri, a son of Elbert Lee and Dolores Maxine (Collins) Beebe. He was raised in Springfield until his family moved to Erie when he was 15. He graduated from the Erie High School with the Class of 1977 and then worked construction for a short time. He later became a draftsman and worked at Peabody Tech Tank for 20 years. In the early 2000s he went to work at Tank Connection where he was currently employed.
On January 9, 1981 he was united in marriage to Kristy Lassen at Miami, OK. They later divorced. He later married Della Myers on December 10, 1996. They divorced also.
He was raised in the First Assembly of God church and recently had attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR races and playing softball.
Survivors include: three sons – Justin Michael Beebe, Parsons, KS, Kyle David Beebe, the Island of Maui, HI, Craig Ross Myers, rural Parsons, KS; one daughter – Jill Marie Myers, rural Parsons, KS; his father – Elbert Lee Beebe, Parsons, KS; his mother and step-father – Dolores Maxine and Donnie Yarnell, Erie, KS; three sisters – Shirley Copeland, Parsons, KS, Cindy Robertson, and her husband, Ryan, Parsons, KS, Pam Oliphant, and her husband, Ron, Chanute, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 3, 2018 at the CARSON-WALL FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Steve Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
