Ruby J. Webb, 56, of Parsons, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at her home. She had been in failing health.
Ruby was born on November 26, 1961 at Fort Worth, Texas to Leroy and Millie Mae (Henly) Dobbins, Sr. She grew up at Fort Worth and Parsons and attended Parsons Schools graduating from Parsons High School in 1980. She then attended Labette Community College where she earned an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Following her graduation she worked at the Labette County Medical Center and Labette Health as a Respiratory Therapist for over 36 years until her recent illness.
Ruby cherished her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She also enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, traveling, and caring for the needs of her family. She grew up attending the Macedonia Baptist Church in Parsons.
She and Jarnell Webb were married on July 30, 1993 at Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, Charles Hervey III, and his wife Kelli, Cedric Webb, and Marcus Webb all of Parsons; her step-sons, Jarnell Webb Jr., Eric Webb, Damon Webb all of Topeka, and Sheldon Webb of Parsons; her step-daughter, Marlaina Webb of Topeka; a host of grandchildren; her brother, Leroy Dobbins, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Karen McWilliams of Springfield, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor LaDonna Scott officiating. Friends may call the funeral home at their convenience. Online condolences may be left at www.wallfuneralservices.com.
