Daniel Albert Gilmore, 93 of Pittsburg, KS died November 10, 2018 at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.
He was born October 28, 1925 in Chicopee, KS the son of Charles and Alice Mary (Ferns) Gilmore.
He was a veteran of the US Navy inducted on Jan 6, 1944 and honorably discharged on April 25, 1946.
Daniel worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years and was the owner/operator of the Cypress Club in Wichita from 1960-1999.
Survivors include 3 sisters: Mary Alice Zakowski, Frances Ann Deckard and Rose Ella Wente along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John, Charles, Fernan, Leo, Pete, Edward, Thomas and Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Fr. Jorge Lopez as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS.
