Margaret Ann Ash, 72, of Parsons, passed away at 8:32 a.m., Friday, May 04, 2018 at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.
She was born on February 24, 1946 at Wichita, Kansas to John Oliver and Margaret (Pankratz) Ash. She grew up at McPherson and attended schools there.
She resided at the Westview Nursing Center at Peabody, Kansas and the Topeka State Hospital before moving the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center in 1996. She worked at Copies and More on the Parsons State Hospital Campus.
She enjoyed shopping, listening to Christian and Country music, reading her Bible, volunteering with community projects, going out to eat, going to casinos, visiting with family and friends, and being outdoors with her dog, Rudy. She attended the First Baptist Church in Parsons.
Among her survivors are a sister, Joan Ash of McPherson, KS; her guardian, Sandra Kruse of Gypsum, KS; and her Parsons State Hospital and Training Center family.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Cook officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center Endowment Fund and these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942 Parsons, KS 67357.
