Terry Ruark, 56, of Parsons, died at 12:09 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018, surrounded by family, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, where he entered Saturday. He had been in failing health several months.
He was born February 10, 1962, in Parsons to Carl Ruark and Glendola (Ringle) Ruark. He graduated from Parsons High School and worked in various types of construction during his adult years.
Fishing, camping and family events were what he enjoyed most. He had attended the Church of God.
On July 24, 2009 he and Lisa Hamilton were married in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Other survivors are a stepdaughter, Tiffany Ribbeck of Chanute; his mother, Glendola Roberts of Parsons; two brothers, Jerry Ruark (Kandy) of Girard and Carl Ruark, Jr., (Tracy) of Independence; Step siblings, Gerry Roberts (Donna) , Gloria Moore (Frank) and Janel Strickland (Justin), of Coffeyville and Amy Billingsley (Jon) of Harrison, Arkansas; father-in-law, Leroy Hamilton (Leona) of Altamont and mother-in-law Barbara Ribbeck (Don) of Chanute and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Carl Ruark, Sr., infant nephew, Justin Ruark; and grandparents, William G. and Marjorie Ringle.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, with Rev. Vernon Norris officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses.
