Lawrence Joseph John Henderson, 63, of rural Farlington, Kansas, passed away at his residence at 5:13 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
He was born November 6, 1954 in Brookhaven, New York, a son of August and Frances (Crawson) Henderson.
Lawrence grew up in New York and attended Cleary School for the Deaf.
On July 22, 1989, Lawrence and Marlene Ann Franklin were united in marriage in Girard, Kansas and she survives of the home.
Lawrence was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farlington and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his family, fishing, and being outdoors.
Lawrence is survived by his wife; his daughters, Elizabeth Ann Henderson of Pittsburg, Kansas, Samantha Marie Simpson, and her husband, Greg, of Girard, and Rebecca Beth Henderson of Farlington; his grandchildren, Ayden Duane Lee Henderson, John Michael Joseph Henderson, and his granddaughter due in October, Olivia Kay Simpson; his brothers, Gerald Henderson of Kansas City, Kansas, James Henderson of Kansas City, Kansas, John Henderson of Cherokee, Kansas, David Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri; his sisters, Catherine Fithian of Kansas City, Kansas and Margaret Nielson of Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, August Henderson.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Farlington with Pastor Dallas Peterson officiating.
