Donna Rae Smith, age 76, passed away suddenly at 5:44 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her home.
Donna was born January 22, 1941 in Des Moines Iowa. Her parents were William and Ruby (Foust) Craig. She moved to SE Kansas in 1995, living previously in Newton, KS.
She worked as a nurse aide in several nursing homes and also worked in a home health program. Her favorite pastime was bowling.
She was first married to Roy Frazier Jr. in 1956. Two children were born to this union. In 1970 she married Henry Hayes. He passed away in 19799. Then in 1983, she last married Charles Smith. This marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving is one son, Roy A Frazier Jr, Galena, ; one daughter, Debra Diane Frazier, Newton ,KS; two brothers, Richard Craig (wife, Betty), Baxter Springs, KS and Bill Craig, Russell, KS; one sister, Patty Lee Mayfield, Louisville, KY; 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, KS. Joe West Jr will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
