Anissa Ann Shook, age 45, of Columbus, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
She was born in Emporia, Kansas on April 19, 1971, and was a merchandiser. Anissa is survived by her husband, Doyle Shook of the home; her parents, Gary Alford and Lorna (Gaston) Alford of Galena; daughter, Sarah Pollet and husband John of Farlington, Kansas; son, Jacob Light of Galena, Matthew Light of Columbus, Timothy Shook of Columbus; brother, Garric Alford and wife Kara of Galena; sister, Anette Hosier and husband Nathan of Scammon; grandmother, Doris Gaston of Pittsburg; and grandchildren, Katelyn Pollet, Colby Pollet, and Colton Pollet.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will have a visitation on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Carl Junction. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
