Nettie Bridges, of Parsons, died at 3:20 A.M., Friday, July 06, 2018 at the Presbyterian Manor.
She was born March 20, 1933 at Hooker, Oklahoma, a daughter of Alva and Muriel (Kriger) Dunn. She grew up at Hooker and attended school there. She later moved to Dallas, Texas and worked in retail at K-Mart and Wal-Mart. She moved to Parsons in 2006 and was employed at Wal-Mart.
On May 6, 1953 she and Rufus Bridges were united in marriage at Rockwall, Texas. They later divorced.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Parsons. She enjoyed arts and crafts and reading her Bible.
Survivors include: two sons – Rex Bridges, Lake Texoma, Oklahoma, Chris Bridges, Wilmer, Texas; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother – Tommy Dunn, Hooker, Oklahoma; two sisters – Margaret Dunn, Parsons, Kansas, Bessie Scott, Hooker, Oklahoma. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Norris and Rev. Dale Carter officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery.
