Lloyd Mahurin 71, formerly of Picher went to be with the Lord at his home Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Miami, Oklahoma.
Lloyd was born December 8, 1946 in Picher, Oklahoma to Jess and Pearl (Arnold) Mahurin and lived in Picher all his live till 2008 when he moved to Miami after the tornado.
He was employed at NEO College in the kitchen and as yard maintenance where he loved his job for over 32 years before retiring.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Martha Hopkins.
Survivors four brothers Floyd Mahurin of Miami, OK Junior Mahurin of Woodward, OK Larry Mahurin of Commerce, OK and Donald Mahurin of Commerce, OK three sisters Patsy Sargent of Commerce, OK Esther Grube of Miami, OK and Patricia Knight of Pittsburg, KS.
Services will be held 10:30 am Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami, Oklahoma with Danny Showen officiating. Interment will follow the Greenlawn Cemetery in Treece, Kansas under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday from 4-6 pm September 10, 2017 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Larry DeSilva, Jr., Larry DeSilva III, Ross Fretwell, Jeff Sargent, Junior Grube and John DeShazer. Honorary Pallbearers Bob Cover and Fred Barnett.
