Marvin Nahon

Marvin D. Nahon, 85, of Frontenac, KS died Monday, June 5, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS. 

Marvin was born September 25, 1931 in Mulberry, KS to Alphonse and Frances Krejici Nahon. He attended and graduated from Cherokee High School in Cherokee, KS. 

On April 4, 1953 Marvin married Gloria Cabodie in Girard, KS. She survives at the home.

Marvin was employed with the City of Pittsburg for 30 years. He also worked at Freeto Construction for 18 years, SEK Construction for 2 years, the Department of Transportation for 1 year, Beachner Construction for 1 year, as well as the State of Kansas, Campbells 66 and Cooper Supply. He retired on July 1, 1997 from the City of Pittsburg. 

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Nahon; Daughters, Linda Filby and Pamela Trahan; Son, Marvin Nahon, Jr.; Grandchildren Mellissa McGuire, Jennifer Dickinson, Brianna Filby, Kevin Filby, Kristi Nahon, Keith Trahan and Kristen Fickes, and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Casketbearers include Kenneth Filby, Kevin Filby, Mathew Dickinson, Brianna Filby, Richard McGuire and Jennifer Dickinson.

He was proceeded in death by his Aunt Sylvia and Uncle Ramage Nahon; Mark and Allie Spicer, who raised him; Sister, JoAnn Nahon; Parents, Alphonse and Frances Nahon, and grandmother Della Nahon. 

Funeral Services will be 10 am Friday, June 9, 2017 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS.
